4" exhaust: put it on, got some questions

hi, i just put a 4" on my 6.5 from the downpipe back and i was wondering if anyone else had done this and had any positive or negative outcomes.

did you have any fuel economy issues?

Crazy 06-21-2011 10:21 PM

the one ? ask you did you replace down pipe

good outcome, a bit droney at certain rpm and load but thats what you get with a stright pipe i guess, about 100km per tank more on highway.

or thats what it seemed like, it was noticeable though

i didnt replace the down pipe. i just wanted to know if anyone got better or worse milage with it

Woody35 06-22-2011 04:57 PM

i got worse at first because i loved listening to it but my after i got used to it my mileage did improve a little bit

Crazy 06-22-2011 10:11 PM

i seen better fuel mileage out it but most of you young guys see less at first cause you get your foot into it but you will see diff in horse power boost and lower EGT temps

but i would go with 3" dp then stock and go with 2.75 cross over pipe

if you dont have the money for a whole exhaust system get the downpipe first because that is the major problem on these trucks. you should see how smashed they get from the factory!
