6.5 Starting Problems

Hey Guys Im new here But I have A question for you guys. I have a 94 6.5 that I bought not running So first off I put two new batterys in it and could hear the fuel pump run so I went to turn it over and nothing it just turns over and dosent fire. Well we changed the injector pump and still no go its getting fuel to the injectors but it just wonts start. It wont even run on ether so tell me what you guys think it could be. Two of the glow plugs are broke off but i figured it should still run on ether but it dosent. Thanks Cody:argh:

starting problem

I'm no expert, but have some experience with 6.5td. First off using starting fluid is not a good thing. It will cause severe damage. If your getting fuel to injectors, allowing injectors are good, glow plug system needs to be checked out. IF you are getting fuel into cylinders, low compression could be a problem. Is engine turning over fast enough? Is fuel good? IP timing good? Air in supply line? Remember the basics: 1)Timing 2)Compression 3)Fuel 4)Air. You can pull the glow plugs and have someone turn the engine over, check to see if there is a mist coming from glow plug holes, that will tell you if fuel is getting past injectors.
