bigger oil filter?
 
does anyone know of an oil filter that'll hold more oil?

GM has a larger filter available PF932 with around twice the capacity of the stock PF1218, but it probably won't fit your application since it is almost 9 inches long.
Better to get a dual-filter remote mount setup.

If it's a 4x4 the 1 quart is about it unless your truck has a lift. If it's lifted or 2wd might sneek a fram PH373 on. That is the old school 2 quart chevy filter. used to run them on my 6.2's

i looked up the number(ph373) on fram's website and it'll work. they have a cross reference and it says 1794 & 1794MP for the napa.

Do not run fram oil filter i have seen many problems with them and heard many bad stories about them go with Napa filter

all this truck has ever had is a fram. we run them in all our vehicles and have never had a problem.
