6.5 will not start

I have a 96 6.5 turbo that will not start. Before this happened it was running bad. When it was running if you added a little bit if throttle or full throttle it wouldn't go past 2000 rpms and it would go up and down like you are reving it. I'm not sure what to do. Some people said it ws the injection pump. If it is can you test them to make sure. Please help.

I'm no expert, but sounds like the same thing that happened to mine. It was the PMD module that went kaput. The little black box on the side of the fuel injection pump. I bought a used one online at TheDieselStore.com Or you can call them at 1-877-375-7867 They had it delivered in a couple of days. This was 2 years ago & it's still working good. I bought the 6ft wire set to go with it, so now it's mounted in a cooler area. Heat kills these things. At the time they were about $50 I think. :hellox:

I also think that their service was great & I will be buying more from them. This was my first time at buying on the internet, so I was nervous but everything went very smooth. :tu::tu:

Mine did the same thing. I pushed the pedal and it reved up and down very rapidly. I had a new PMD w remote on at the time, so I just plugged back into the old stock PMD and away she went.
