96 6.5l turbo diesel stall
 

Ok im new here i have this same thread going on over at the truck stop but i wanted to see if anyone here had anymore input.

96 5.6l turbo diesel vin "s" 1500
the truck runs strong and pulls great but after about 30 mins the truck stalls i pull over wait 2 or 3 mins and the wts light flashes and it starts right up, When the truck stalls i can not hear the lift pump running and the WTS light will not come on, less you wait 2 or 3 mins, then the light flashes and the lift pump comes on and it will start everytime.

Its got a pmd on a cooler under the front bumper ive put 3 brand new pmds on it and still nothing, i put a new battery and a new alternator, i cleaned the grounds on the back of the intake and put them back, ive checked all the fues, ive checked the t valve with the truck running and there is no water in the fuel and the truck wont stall, i checked for air in the fuel and there was none.

I broke down and called somone to come look at it but im not real sure if the guy is going to know what his looking at cuz the 6.5 is a monster all on its own, what elas could i check? I know there are more grounds but i cant seem to find them, i know theres one on my tranny dip stick that runs behind the motor to the frame but i cant tell if its ok or not.

Im almost to the point of puting it up for sale and maybe get 2 grand out of it if that, i love the truck its got tons of power but i have a baby on the way and i cant have it stalling like this.

Oh yeah and the only codes was the EGR was puting out alot more amps then it should and there was somthing in the tranny that was sending a code but my tranny guy said it was not a big deal and they all do it

Have you try looses the fuel cap and see what happens

just because you can here LP running doesn't mean it working i had one that work when it was cool and after running 15mins it would stop working i also had them run and pump no fuel and cut one open found that the part move fuel no longer there

i havent tryed that, im going to have the guy that is coming over this week to look at it im going to have him put a gauge on by the t valve and drive the truck and see what the lift pump is doing.

Well looks like this guy aint going to show up, So now i dont know what to do.....

Well i fixed the ol girl found out it was the frame ground it keeps coming loose and i dont know why

well when you are at check the rest grounds and them they do play big part with 6.5
