Mileage vs performance upgrades
 

I see everyone on here with all these upgrades an others asking for ways to boost hp and torque. What kinda mileage does everyone have on their truck with these upgrades? hopefully this will help some ppl find the line if they have too many miles on their motor for what they're wanting to do to it. So engine mileage vs upgrades.....let's see em:pca1:

i know when i put 3.5" down pipe to 4" exhaust back i gran about 4 mpg my cat muffle was clog big time and when put injectors in i seen other 2 mpg so now i getting about 19mpg for 1 ton dulley to petty good and oh ya my old injectors had over 173,000 miles on them my truck was getting about 16mpg before work

That's not bad but let me rephrase my question. How many miles do you have on the motor when you do these upgrades? How many miles on a motor is too many to chip it and bigger injectors and stuff. I'd hate to see someone with a million miles do abounch of stuff and send the rods through the oil pan lol

i have over 300,000 miles on my truck and still pulling my 16,000lb 5th wheel i just did injectors 2 months ago did 4" exhaust last yr also had trans rebuild 1 1/2 yrs ago with upgrades and shift kit for towing rebuild the rear end yr ago i got this truck 9 yrs ago with 73,000 miles on it and like said it over 300,000 it never used i drop coolant

i get 15 mpg with my mods in my sig
