Snorkle on a 6.2?

:hellox:Who has one, who has pix, drawings/plans, gear list...

I wanna do one on my truck since i got the stack on it now.... but im having some issue with fabbing up a overbuilt kit that is prolly way over the top, so i could use some inspiration that doesnt look tacky

well apparently i may be the only person on this forum interested in doing this to a 6.2...
but it is my hunting truck, and even though its high enough to get through any water source that would otherwise just wash it away, I'm gonna go ahead and slam this thing together, for the added benefits of cleaner air draw, increased air flow, and it will look effing cool! Just as soon as my mechanic gets it out of his bay....

Heres the plan

Utilizing 3" exhaust tube mandral bent (possible angle drop cut and welded to fit) ill come in from the driver side (pass. side has the stack, gotta even it out) fabricate a "ram air" scoop at the top of the snorkel out of 16 ga and expanded metal

interior will be run w/ 3" tubing into an airbox that I will install a primary air filiter to get out any major dust particles, bugs, water ect... On the output (primary to secondary section) i will install and wire a high flow 12v case fan as a sort of electric ram air system to increase flow into the secondary (stock) air filter. The internal piping as a whole will be built on a slope (with the stock air filter at the high end, and the primary air filter at the low end) and the internal structures will all be heat taped...

With enough time, some good measurements, and a 12 pack of beer or so, I would call this a really fun, inexpensive, custom little job that will turn some heads, and would help out with the total lack of air flow into these engines

ill post pictures of the build, maybe ya'll could show some love ahaha

since this build is about a week away from even getting onto my CAD program, if there is any insight as to major problems with the theory, design or possible engine malfunctions PLEASE LET ME KNOW, last thing i would want is to slam this engine with too much air and mess it up, or starve it some how... so any questions you have, ask, so i can pick my brain over it too:tu:

I'm interested to see how this turns out and its effect on performance.
