two quick questions

i see people are running a #9 resistor i have a 5 should i get a 9? also where is a good place to get a pmd extension harness that will reach to my bumper?

If you have it out and have a 9 I would put it in it. Mine had I think a 5 light 3/4 ton 6 lug and I put a 9 in it and it did not set the world on fire to be honest I could't tell a difference.

every time you go up a number a very little amount of fuel is added and i mean a little. so if it is out and the resistor was free i would put it in but if you got to take it out or you got to pay for it i wouldnt get it. like the previous poster i had a 5 which is stock then i went to a #9 when i relocated the pmd and i felt nothing.

good place to buy pmd extension harness is pmdcable.com ive talked to the guy and he has great customer service skills.

What kind of life are you getting out of your pmd since you relocated it? I put a fsd cooler on the truck once big mistake I couldn't keep a pmd on the truck. After a couple of them I toke it back of and put it back where it was originally. The reason I ask is I got a truck apart and thinking of moving it but the big time injection guy around here believes the added length of wire causes more resistance and burns them up quicker. If you get the same life as stock location I am moving the stupid thing so I don't have to spend a weekend disassembling the truck to change it.

i currently have mine mounted right off the side of the intake, but i am moving mine to behind the front bumper also, i think something may have been wrong with your cooler or the sink pad, because when i located mine, i only did it because i have horrible luck and was going on a 700 mile trip so i did it just to be safe. but the biggest thing i had noticed was a massive temperature difference

Suck to be away and have one go out thats one reason I am thinking about moving it. A whole lot easier to change it on the bumper.

thats b.s. there is tons of guys running relocated pmds for a long time with no problems. once a pmd is properly cooled they last a lot longer than they would underneath the engine bay. they sometimes go bad after a few years but its rare. me personally in the 4 months i have had my pmd relocated i have had no hiccups or failures to speak of. you can talk to any experinced 6.5 guy who isnt affilated with ss diesel and they will say the same thing.

plus it makes a nice security system that almost no one knows about except for guys with 6.5s on the internet. once you unplug the pmd the truck wont start.
