Van vs Truck 6.5

Hey guys, as some of you know I'm in the market for a rebuild or a crate motor right now. I may have found a cheap replacement until I find the money to buy or rebuild to exactly what I want. I found a guy that has a 99' van motor, it was running, but they parted the van out. I know the turbo setup is different, so long story short, will the rear turbo setup fit under the hood, or do I need to switch heads and use my current turbo setup?

I don't know but I believe you would have to switch turbo setup. Are the heads even different? I want to say that you'd just be able to bolt on manifolds and fuel filter.

nope heads are different. like people were telling you on the truck stop you are better off getting some truck heads and your current turbo setup

are your heads messed too?

no, I want to rebuild the motor while I'm running the van motor. who really knows what the heads look like though. Its really a feeling that I don't have the money to buy or rebuild the motor to what I want right now. and while i have vehicles to drive, I just can't live without drivin my baby for that long. The van motor should be real cheap, which gives me a working motor until I have the money to play.
