1999 suburban problems
my girlfriends family has a 1999 chevy 2500 burb 6.5 turbo, 39,000 approx. miles. They recently went to indiana from northern Kentucky. on the way there the truck started to bog down on the highway. On the way back, it quit on them, and it took a couple seconds to start it back up. since then it has done it twice and it takes longer to restart it with the most recently time taking 2 minutes. what could the problem(s) be?

check for plugged fuel filter, plugged muffler/ restricted exhaust. bad fuel pump. does it smoke more than usual? after it starts does it have power or is it still powerless?
|
it doesn't smoke more than usual. when it is restarted it isn't bogged down like before but has less power than before
|
i would change the fuel filter, and air filter. if its got a muffler or any cats under it check to see if it gets alot hotter on the engine side then the other side after running it for a little while , that would mead its pludded up

any codes?
