6.5 oil leak

I have a 94 that was leakin oil bad 1gal in 140miles. All i know is it was leaking on to the manfold. i had replaced the passenger side head gasket about 3 months prior.

My question is does this just sound like a head gasket failure?

If you have oil coming out your head gasket something is majorly wrong. Which side of the engine is it leaking on? Could be oil cooler lines...

it is leaking on the drivers side. im not sure were the oil is coming from just know it was leaking on to the driver's side exahust manafold.

not a head gasket. im thinking you have rotted out oil cooler lines or the connectors broke. it also could be the oil pan gasket. but probably no t that much oil. it could be a combo of the two

Never really messed with that 6.5 that much but where is the oil cooler lines at?

Woody35 08-09-2009 11:57 PM

they run from the tranny to in front of the radiator. they got a hard plastic sleeve on them that you can move a few inches.

not sure but i didnt think the manuals had a oil cooler. Am i wrong on this?

is it 4x4? if so the orings in the 90 degree oil filter adapter are probably leaking, a very common issue with the 6.5

no its 94 2wd 3500 w/5speed

Gotta be the cooler lines, when replacing them dont get a stock setup again, they will fail quickly, get a set of braided ss lines...
