6.2 diesel flywheel

i cant remember.....will a small block flywheel bolt up to a 6.2......dad just picked up a 1986 4 speed manual K5 blazer for 100 bucks and him and my brother got to pull the engine and they are going to set the 6.2 out of my suburban into it......the suburban is an automatic.....the blazer is 4 speed......will the small block flywheel bolt onto the 6.2.......i worry about it being internally or externally balanced.......i might just buy a new clutch anyways.......this is going to be my new wheeler.....

Just for your info, it will bolt up, but a regular 350 flywheel isn't balanced like a 6.2 is. I didn't notice a difference when I changed mine out about 15 years ago though. DISCLAIMER:: When I worked in a transmission shop, I found both balanced and non-balanced flywheels on 6.5 and 6.2's. Supposedly, none of them had been touched since new.

The small block flywheel will bolt up but the only one you want is from a 400 they are balanced the same as the 6.2 the only thing is you have to change the ring gear!

i dropped a 350 out of a 79 3/4 ton truck in it......
