1983 6.2 miss at idle

So i got the th350 trans finally in in my 1983 6.2 diesel and no wonder they eaned the name gutless wonder haha. Anyways been noticing now during crank ups it doesent like to start at all unless i mash the throttle just a hair bit. And its not extremly cold either i live in the coastal plains of North Carolina. But after it get cranks it either lopes really hard to the point the trucks rocking or no lope and a occassional miss and and enough blue smoke to choke you. But after you reach operating temperature the smoke goes away truck seems to have the power it should but the ever so slight miss is there. Mind you theres no smoke blue or white and it cranks as soon as you bump the key. Could i be getting air some where? Maybe failing mechanical pump losing prime? Im not ready to give up on the ip just yet... any thoughts, pointers, past experiences, info is appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like a dirty injector or injectors run a can of Seafoam through it.

So you say injectors? Ive run 2 very strong doses of power service diesel clean through her butt but nothings changed

Is there a technique to clean them?

I've only ever used Seafoam under normal circumstances however what you could try is a quart of automatic transmission fluid to about 5 gallons of fuel if that changes nothing you probably need new injectors or have them rebuilt.

You might have burnt a fuse link to the starter it will probably require a test light or multi meter to check it.

Used a test light to check the fuseable link (2) they both tested good im going to remove the starter tomarrow and bypass them to see if they work bc the truck this evening i guess i leaned on the truck right and the fan cut on and attempted to crank but the batteries died now the fan motor will not cut on neither will that annoying a** buzzer under the dash i hot wired the starter but failed to remember that the pink wire on the ip needed 12v to cut on the shut off solenoid. Im also going to replace the fuel pump bc when i removed the out line off the fuel filter housing no fuel ran out.
