6.5 NA, mechanical, no start

Hello, I have a 97 6.5 non-turbo with a mechanical IP in a P30 Chevy. The engine turns over but won't fire. I have squirted a little ether in the intake just to see if it would pop off before I try finding fueling issues, but won't even hit on ether. Any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance

Ok first thing is if you spray anything into a 6.5 do not use ether WD40 or non stick cooking spray is way better on these engines but my guess would be a LP issue, you should get a piece of clear fuel rated hose and replace the one going into the IP this will save you lots of time and trouble in the future is that truck OBD2?

If that van is OBD2 with the key off put a wire like in the picture between terminals 5&2 then open bleeder T valve then turn key on if fuel comes out the drain LP is good.

I don't think it has a lift pump. Can't find one on the rail any where.
It is a 97, but haven't located an OBD2 port. Not sure if the P30 sized vehicles jumped on the obd2 bandwagon at the same time as everyone else. The truck has been sitting, it would certainly not surprise me if its not getting fuel, but I thought it still would have fired on starting fluid.

Ok maybe it has a mechanical LP on the lower passenger side of the front part of engine block.
Still be a good idea to have the clear fuel hose going into the IP check to see if you have power at the fuel cutoff solenoid would be the next step.
