No start

96 Chevy 3500 dually, 6.5.new batteries new starter.even switched to spares on pmd.has hard cold start issues since I got it.smokes from tail pipe intermittently. No codes .lift pump never changed.got fuel to all injectors. But could it be lift pump?

Does the lift pump have a weep hole, like a Cummins does?

I find it ironic that the Glow Plug Warrior didn't advise going through your glow plug system.

As for the lift pump, open the t valve with the engine running. If you get a good steady flow without the engine dying, it's ok.

My bad, just read the post and ignored the title. You can jump power to the lift pump to see if it is functional.

It's a electric lift pump so no not like a cummins
