If the ignition switch has never been changed then that could be the culprit.

Yes it can. I have changed all the ignition switches on our vehicles, except the 1994's

Truck is running again Thanks for all the advice.

I knew it was not the ignition, as when it shut off, it had steady power to the pink #439 that feeds the PMD.

Sent the PMD back to SS diesel (where it came from) for testing, it was intermittently going out. I guess you are to periodically re torque the small screws holding it to the heat sink they provide. Since it's not my "company truck" and is driven by others, it never got done.

I knew it wasn't running out of fuel, as I have lots of experience with restricted fuel as a field marine tech on large and small diesels in boats.

In any case, yes IT could have some "weak" fuel supply, but it's not my truck so now that it's running this is the last I will do with it. I can tell you I test drove it and it will roll coal and set you back in the seat, not one bit of hesitation.

Were it MY truck I would certainly pull the tank, replace the sock, and do the fuel system mods others have mentioned, replace the glow plugs, etc. The only reason I am working on it is we were slow in the field on boats and I'm the only one that doesn't bitch about working on trucks !

Boss may sell it, anyone know what a 100% rust free southern truck is worth?

2500 series, plain Jane Cheyenne trim, regular cab, refrigerator white, torn vinyl seat, has a Knapheide service body on it. AC has a leak in the hi side service valve and it's seized in the line so they would need to be changed. Compressor less than two years old. 4:10 rear.

Has four near new tires, new shocks and tie rod ends. New batteries.
