95 cab wiring harness swap 5.7 to a 6.5 truck
I am putting a 95 EC 4x4 diesel truck on the road that has been well used. I picked up a parts Silverado 95 EC 2wd 5.7 in awsome shape and a knocking motor from which I am taking the doors, fenders and complete interior.
The further I got into the diesel the more cut and spliced wires to bypass the mandatory immobilizer I really want to start fresh and am wondering if the interior harness is the same in both trucks? In which case I would remove the dash and steering column without separating the air box and harness from the dash. Any help or direction is appreciated. All else fails, I will do a pinout comparison and report. I'm reaching as far as I can on this one |

Thanks for the reply Mayhem,
The insurance company (The only insurance company) in Manitoba has a list of Most At Risk vehicles (MAR) and require a key fob that mimics newer vehicle coded keys to prevent theft. A big pain that everyone started complaining about no start issues stemming back to this device. Do you know if the steering column and harness that is attached is the same? this would fix a lot of ugly |
