holy shit, have you monitored input speed and engine rpm yet? need to be damn sure those sensors are reading right. might be a dumb question but have you flused the coolers and made damn sure there arent any restrictions? heat build up attacks the convertor first and if there is reduced cooler efficiency and/or flow it could be causing this stuff. Also if the tcc solenoid is not in good shape/leaking it could be doing this to you to. Sorry i cant be there with a scan tool but i diagnose these things on a daily basis and with the right scan tool you can do a lot.

Yea everytime I had it out, I thoroughly flushed it and back flushed it. I understand have the good diagnostic equipment definitely helps !!! I have the snap on solus ultra and unfortunately I dont have any OBD 1 hook up adapters. Friend has the Tech I and he's gonna run some tests on it hopefully find something !!! Appreciate your replies once again !!

Is that what I need to make my solus ultra work on OBD I ??

Josh Haynes 04-25-2016 06:20 PM

should be. it uses the scan tools normal cable and just adapts between obd1 gm and obd standard cables and has a lighter plug in for power.
