While my covers are off is there anything I should look for?

I will be using Right Stuff for sealant.

Check nylon rocker arm keepers, I'd get a set and change them if have never been replaced they get hard over time and you don't want one failing on you. Replace the injector return "jumper lines" they get hard and brittle use the "push on" line that does not require the spring tension hose retainer clips.

Where do I get the rocker arm keepers?

And instructions on changing them?

I'm changing injectors while I have everything apart so I will be replacing the return lines as well.

Rockauto has them and where I got mine just a plastic push button fits into the stamped steel rocker arms I'll look around the house tonight to see if I have one I can show you.

Pry under them with screwdriver and they pop out put a rag under them so if they break the piece doesn't fall into the crank case, it's soft won't generally hurt anything and oil pump screen will keep it out of oil system but best to capture any pieces that might break off if you can, now in my minds eye the tip that expands that could break off would just lay in the rocker arm support tube.

You will know what I'm talking about once you get in there to do the sealant install, use some MEK or acetone to clean oil residue from heads and valve covers after getting all old sealant off so new sealant adheres correctly and I would allow also for full cure time before starting engine.

I've been using Right Stuff. The curing time is immediate.

By the time I get the injectors, glow plugs changed and everything put back together it will have plenty of time to cure anyway, LOL

Can somebody give me a link to the Rocker keepers.

I haven't looked yet, but I need to get back outside.
