Yes dealership. I'm sure with a little searching you can find one from a online dealer a little cheaper.

Thank you - I should have been able to figure that out based on the play on words - but anyway.....

So I did find the GM part# incase anyone else needs it for the bracket it is GM#23502557 only $16.96 at my local dealer.

Also found it on Amazon.

Do you reemeber the size of the bolt you used to hold your bracket to the block?

Thanks!

Looks like mine has a stud coming out of the block and I just put a 5/16's nut &washer on it.

I do not remember the size of the bolt because when I looked for it it was gone. I need to take another look from under the truck to where it mounts - like you said it looks like a threaded stud versus a bolt.

I did manage to find a part number for it GM#14045263. It has been discontiuned at the dealerships, however, on Ebay I found it by searching for that part number and it is listed as a threaded stud for the water pump installation. Got some specs on it from another site as a M8X1.25 X 25.

The one on ebay was around 12 bucks for the stud and nut. So I'll just hit ACE hardware and look for that pitch and size. Check the block for depth of the hole sso I don't try to put too long of one in.

Hopefully I can find a threaded rod with the correct pitch and thread type and cut to fit etc...

I ended up getting the bracket off of Amazon shipped for what the local "Stealership" wanted.

Hope this helps someone else as well.

Thank you for your help.

The brackets are $16 after tax at my dealer. So its not a big $ item. An you will snap bolts if you dont have that bracket. You might also ask them (dealer) about a set of bolts while your at it because the ones from aftermarket mans are junk and not threaded right and will work out and snap off as well.
