Trans slip/ pedal position sensor

I have 1996 6.5 suburban 135K miles PMD has been relocated and replaced. inital problem was trans would act as if it was slipping. But only when it was cold. Read alot on the web most of which said probably is the pedal position sensor. $270 later from RockAuto for a new pedal now it starts and idles fine but when you rev it up just a little it sputters and acts like rev limiter is kicking in. Haven't tried to drive it for fear it will die. Did i get a BAD NEW Pedel assembly? Is the cold slipping connected to the issue of the pedel? It only slips when cold at higher speeds. Before swapping the pedal it ran great.

No the PPS will have no bearing on transmission slip the cltches are probably toast, is it just in overdrive that this happens?

not in O/D when it slips. not pushing hard either. just keeps reving higher then shifts up and down. can be crusing about 40 - 50 then engine tachs up to about 3K, let off just a little and the engine sudenly drops to idle like the torq conv dosen't stay locked up. then slams back in lock with the littelest touch of the pedal.

Check connections on trans remove and clean engine grounds especially rear passenger side cylinder head.
