6.2/6.5 hybrid build
 

I am thinking about doing the 6.2 hybrid build to my truck. I have a 88 6.2. I was just wondering what all I would need from a 6.5 to do it. Also is there anything I would have to custom make to make the swap work

Use the 6.5 precups,injectors manifolds and frt drive accessories and 6.2 everything else.
Get the lubrication specialists or Leroy diesel oil cooler kit.
Also would be a good time to add EGT gauge and boost gauge,might also go with turbomaster for reliability and OPS relay mod depending on year of 6.5?

New balancer and drive pulley at the same time along with diamond eye exhaust.

Would it just be easier to do a top end from a 6.5? And how much boost should I run to be safe

Sure if your heads are in good shape,go ahead and use them.

Max boost with stock ECM and electronic IP is 10 psi before coding.
with mechanical IP max boost is 15 psi but requires intercooler or water injection.
Limit boost to 12 psi would be my target.
