shock suggestions

Alright so my 98 1 ton with the box and my tools weigh in around 10-11 and sometimes i pull equipment weighing in just under 10 so I ask you fine folks what are your suggestions on shocks for my truck and no I don't want to install airbags

I used some top of the line Monroes and had to replace 2 of them. I tried Bilstiens and they sucked.

Is it a HD version with straight frt axle or standard independent frt axle?

Thought I deleted that-need to know frt axle design since frt shocks are different for each.

But which axle design are those shocks for?

Daniel Leipart 05-05-2014 06:40 AM

so what did we come up with?

jrsavoie 05-05-2014 09:19 AM

Search the part numbers at Rock auto and Amazon there should be application information there. Be sure to check the shipped price. There is often free shipping from either place.

If you find more info on better shock recommendations please post back
