Gelling problem? Please Help!!!

Went out to start my truck this morning and it just cranked, would not fire up, was about -22 last night. Any tricks or tips?

Pour a bottle of diesel 911 in your tank. Plug it in. Have you been running additive?

When it is 10 degrees or below I run White power service in the correct ratio all the time.

I also run Schaeffers winter mix all the time.

Always run some sort of lubricity additive with this new diesel

You may have to change the filter also.

What year truck do you have?

Jumper the lift pump and make sure your lift pump is working. after the 911 let it sit at least 1/2 hour and see if you can run some fuel out the T drain with the lift pump jumpered with a fused jumper wire

I have to get some diesel 911 i know that but i don't have a plug, is there some additives out there that will help on these cold nights because i can't plug it in. I have a 1995 with the 6.5 TD and thanks i will try the jumper.

You need to add antigell/libricity additive to the fuel as directed on the lable.

Diesel 911 is not antigell,it is for water contaminated fuel and helps get fuel that is already gelled to flow tempoarily.

Lastly test all the glow plugs and the wiring to make sure they all get power when needed and can do something with it.

As far as testing the glows-they really need to be removed and power and ground applied to observe how much they glow in a 5-8 second power application, but if you have gone to the trouble of removing them-just replace them with Bosch Duratherm glow plugs.

Probably a good idea to get a block heater for your engine. It really helps.
