6.5 diesel conversion and swap help
 

alright first off i would like to say hello to all you out there, looks like a cool site... i hope you will be able to help me out.
okay here is the deal i had a 94 gmc 6.5 diesel and a 79 chevy c30 with a 350. I like the 6.5/6.2 diesels and the old style chevy trucks but no longer needed both trucks, so i decided it would be cool to transplant the two motors sell the 94 with the transplanted 350 and keep the 79 with the upgraded 6.5 turbo diesel. sounded great... The 94 transplant went fairly smooth and I was able to sell it and move on to *my baby.* Well that has been two years in the making now and I really need to get it running at this point. Mind you this has all been on a tight budget... So here's the rundown, 94 6.5 turbo diesel replaced the ds4 with a used db2 (no computer) 6.2 diesel manifold flipped over to relocate turbo to right side fender with custom exhaust y pipe etc. autometer oil pressure, engine temp, trans temp, and boost gauges, full manual control 4L80e trans, and manual glow plug switch. So now that you know what i'm dealing with, the problem i'm having is I keep getting air in the injector lines... I put a clear line off the pump for the return and there are no bubbles at all I cracked the lines and it looked like it was about bled out so I tightened them up and got it to chug a few times while turning it over but when I tried it again I got nothing so I cracked the lines again and it was like I hadn't bled them at all there is no fuel leak and no air bubbles in the return line :argh: any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks

Just loosen 1 injector line and crank the engine with hot glow plugs for no more than 15 seconds without 1 minute starter cool off periods.

If your IP is installed and timed right and you do have no air and a good working lift pump it should start and clear any remaining air once running-they are actually self bleeding injectors but I find cracking 1 line loose helps them bleed much faster and is easier on the starter.
