Idles OK but stalls when rpms drop fast.
Iv never had any issues with my 1991 NA 6.2 But I let the wife run it, and I'm sure she forgot to add power service additive once or twice. I go to drive it, and it die's at the first stop sign. It idles OK. But if I'm running in gear and push the clutch in to stop. It drops rpm fast enough to kill the engine most of the time. I changed the fuel filter behind my intake which helped my overall power, but it still wants to die when I drop the rpm fast.
Iv learned to leave the clutch alone until the rpm's are low when stopping, then push clutch in and it stay's running.. But I'm worried something is starting to fail.. I just blew up my cummins, so I dont need another car down. Any suggestions what to check? Or have checked? Thanks! |

This truck has about 120k with nothing but routine maintenance. |
It will make the IP wear out faster if there is no supply/lift pump.

The only problem is, I have a leak now. I put my hand under the filter and it was wet with fuel and ending up under the truck. How did I screw that up? I did have to push pretty hard to get the last bottom wire clip snapped in position, but my only option now is to replace it again unless someone has another suggestion. |

Round filter in a housing or square filter on a plate?
Sometimes it is just a defective filter? |

Sometimes it is just a defective filter? Yea, I talked to Orielly and they said I could return the wix for a new one. Is the Microgard better? |
I have good luck with wix but anything can be bad.
