egr crap

I hooked my egr up cleaned the intake and egr out ran good at high speeds shitty at slow speeds so I called a buddies dad he has a couple part trucks I found its an older 6.5 with out egr so I took upper intake swapped it on mine is there a difference if I didn't us the lower intake off the older non egr truck or would it matter as in power etc?

Will work fine as long as you leave the EGR solenoid and baro sensor wiring in place and plugged in.
Also I believe the vac lines need to stay connected to the solenoids.

You migt want to get an aftermarket ECM tune to eliminate the EGR code settings?

yea I have a bully dog watch dog so I can erase the code I get lol the egr was connected to the boost solenoid? on driver side valve cover area man there was a lot of crap in the lower intake cleaned it out pretty good

There should be 3 solenoids on the DS valve cover-boost solenoid at frt,EGR solenoid and middle egr vent last.
The solenoids and baro sensor if left plugged in won't code, plug the vac line that would have went to the EGR valve and leave the rest connected.

so just unplug it maybe it wasn't working right because I had it hooked into egr vent lol so I see my egr vent has a vac line to the sensor on ds firewall??? whats that man I got a lot of stuff I need checked I see a black hard plastic line that's just unhooked goes to pass side to nothing?

heres a picture the line in the back is going to sensor on firewall looks like a map sensor but isnt

Make it like shown above.

The line going to pass side is supposed to go to the wastegate actuator on the turbo.
