Advice? 1993 GMC 6.2 diesel 2wd

Hey guys,

I just bought my first diesel and I would like some advice. My friends and family said I shouldn't have bought it since there is roughly 490,000km (305,000miles) on it. The previous owner has records of all the fluids, injectors hoses and tires being changed. Did I just get myself into a big mess buying this, or am I going to be in the clear for now? Any help would be great.

If it runs good, shouldn't be a problem. Parts are dirt cheap. I had a suburban that went over 400,000. Starter ear broke off the block and that was why I got rid of it.

As long as you take it easy and don't treat it like it should pull mountains and/or run a 6 second 1/4 mile, it should last a long time.
