Default Fuel filter replace

Hey all I'm doing a few small things to my rig tomorrow morning and one of them is the fuel filter correct me If I'm wrong but I just need to loosin off the bleeder then the bigger black ring and remove old filter then put new one in, unscrew bleeder and crank engine till fuel comes out ?

Now the filter i got from napa has the black ring built into the filter, will this still work on my 6.5td s vin ?

Thanks in advanced !!

save the wear and tear on your atrter and batteries and run a wire from the positive terminal on one of the batteries to the G terminal on the ALDL port under the dash and you can run just the lift pump to prime the fuel system

Default Yes

I have used the Napa filter before. Just be sure to keep your plastic ring incase you go back to a fuel filter that does not have it as part of the filter like the one from NAPA does. In my opinion it was a very nice fuel filter.
~GOD BLESS~

Thanks! I'll try to get up that way again to check it out. Wix makes a good filter, and any deal is a great deal.

When I'm changing the fuel filter, I unplug the OPS and use a jumper wire between the outer two terminals on the plug to run the lift pump. Its essentially the same process as using the ALDL connector and a battery, but this way puts both connections right near where I'm at. I think its easier, but to each their own.
