95 6:5 antifreeze leak at startet

Hi I have a 95 K2500 6.5 that I just bought. The PO had starter problems and broke both bolts off. I think he did some drilling :argh: now antifreeze is dripping from the bolt hole and the starter was a hanging there! Any fixes for this? Retap and fill the hole with silicone? Block stop leak? Just wanna see how it runs to see if it's worthy of a better fix. Thanks

Shouldn't be any coolant near the starter bolt holes, unless the inner is drilled very deep and even then I think it would hit oil or the opening behind the bell housing first?

Head gasket leak or rotten core/frost plug?

Get a pressure test done.

If I hold my finger over the hole it mostly stops, when I let go backed up coolant comes out. I'm pretty sure the water jacket is close since the freezeplugs are there. I was hoping someone that has seen a bare block would recognise where he could have went wrong, I'm sure this can't be the first one! lol

Will take a look at the bare block in my driveway later today, might need to drain the coolant and coat the starter bolt with thread sealer like used on head bolts or plumbing:
