6.2 compression in cooling system

working on 82 k30 with 6.2, pulled heads they have a small crack on 1 intake valve on each head. toasted or fixable? also book I have says to rebuild lifters ????????

lifters can be left alone if they were working properly before.

Best to get the heads pressure tested at a machine shop, magnaflux is not reliable because it can identify dry cracks that harm nothing.

Another simple test is to use gasoline for crack checking, fill the coolant passages with gas and see if it leaks into the combustion chamber, precup and intake/exhaust ports and valve bowl area-or fill the combustion chamber/precup and see if the gas leaks out.

Gasoline will flow through a crack much easier than coolant/water-beware of the fire hazard.
