they should be calibrated to pop off at a prescribed pressure-2150-2300 psi and have all 8 within 5% of each other.

an injector pop tester should be used and a selection of shims is needed to calibrate each injector.

video of me testing rebuilt aftermarket 6.5 TD injectors-note that they poped at the naturally aspirated pressure instead of the turbo spec-they need to be shimmed to get the proper setting.

If you don't test them you could end up with dribbling injectors or improper pressures that can melt pistons or give other problems down the road.

Most farm equipment dealers or your local diesel shop can rebuild the injectors much cheaper than you buying the equipment yourself for a 1 time use.

here is an example of a DIY pop tester:

An injector install kit is the way to go to get the copper washers and new return lines, lots of kits on ebay.

Also don't get sucked into the marine nozzle/injector hype-there is no improved power potential wit them unless paired with the mechanical marine IP,the IP is the bottleneck in the fuel system-standard duty injectors can flow more fuel than the IP can provide.

Thanks. i knew abouth the extra horsepower injector scam. ill prolly just wait to replace them when they go bad and just buy new ones at rockauto as the only farm equipment place close is john deere and they arent cheap on anything haha thanks

Injectors should be changed every 100,000miles

all great info above by the way
