Surging at speed

Hi guys,

Truck: 1982, C10, 3/4 ton, 6.2, Auto, Tranny rebuilt, Replaced secondary Fuel Filter, Installed New LP, Vacuum lines look good, IP is from 2007, 78000 total miles on truck, was sitting for about a year before i picked er up.

The man i got the truck from told me that it ran out of gas and had been sitting for approx. 1 year. I put in 2 new batteries and after a few trys, she roughly fired up and stayed running. I thought it was odd that i didnt have to bleed the air from the lines, but she kept idling driving ok... Then i noticed surging (sometimes during cold start) while driving at normal speeds. Also lack of power (i know the 6.2's werent built for 8.0second 1/4's) it seems that sometimes i'll have to floor-it just to get up to 55mph, and it will surge off and on. For the most part, no surge at idle after truck is warm.

After replacing the secondary fuel filter, LP and changing oil, i thought my problem might go away...WRONG!

Also, ive had a small issue with engine still running after key is turned off..?

Should i adjust IP pressure screw, if so, how many turns?

Any advice will be appreciated!
