will a 99 6.5 work in a 94 6.5
 

so i have this nightmare truck here after getting a bad motor from the junk yard:dang:. the customer is going through another yard that has a 99 6.5 diesel but the truck im working on is a 94 .the guy at the yard says it will go right in no problems and has done it before. i mean i would think obd1 and obd2 would be different. someone please answer this before the customer goes and buys this motor and im sitting here with two motors that wont work.:s: thanks for any help guys.

Yes 94 is OBD-I 99 is OBD-II the donor engine from a F or S VIN truck, the recipient a S or F truck, S engine may have some different emissions sensors the F does not
