Hibernation!
 

I plan on parking my 1995 K2500 for the winter for some much needed body work and paint. my question is what do i need to do as far as the engine ( it may sit for 2-3 months). is it ok to just leave it or does it need to be started once in a while? if so will it hurt to just sit and idle or does it need to be drove? I plan on topping off the fuel after they switch to the winter blend diesel fuel in my area and adding a good additive.:humm:

Put your baterries on a charger id start it if you can for a bit

A good investment might be a solar charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter they realitively inexpensive and work as long as there is sun out

so is it cool to leave the engine sit all winter or should i start it once every couple of years?

Every couple years? Or months? Id start it every few weeks.
