Electrical problemos

Okay, so I'm finally fed up with my 94 6.5 and plan on selling it after I get it fixed.. again :dang:

The problem I'm having this time is something to do w/ electrical, which I've never been good at fixing. I turn the key and I would wait until the glow plug light shuts off. Once it does I turn the key to start the engine.. All of my lights under my dash goes out, the door locks/windows don't work, and the engine never makes a sound. I would turn the key off and retry it a few times but still get nothing. Only thing working are the head lights. Anyway, I left it parked for about 2 hours and tried it again. Lights on the dash came back on, everything worked, and it even turned over and ran great. Next day everything died again. Its been doing this for a while. When I go to start it, its a 50/50 chance if the damned things gonna run or not.

If anyone has any idea what this could be it'll help me out a lot!! Like I said I'm horrible with electrical so and help would be appreciated :tu:

Clean all battery conections with baking soda and water and check the ground on the back of the passenger side head that one will get you every time

There is another ground on the passenger front fender next to the battery that messes up lights. That's what happened to me no lights without that ground

Definitely sounds like a ground is hanging by a thread or so so corroded that only a sliver of juice is going through it.

Thanks for the reply guys! I'll be able to get out there tomorrow hopefully and let you know how it goes.

That was the problem. I been cleaning all my electrical wires from the bat. but I guess I had always missed one of the ground wires somehow. Anyway, thanks again for the replies. I was thinking it was gonna be an expensive fix :c:

The simplest problems can be the most frustrating sometimes
