Radiator question
So I'm going to stick a 6.2 diesel into my range rover classic...
I am slowly coming to the conclusion that I will need to buy a custom aluminum 1" cored radiator. I only have 22"x20" of space. Thankfully I will have 6 inches or so of depth. Here are my options, id like to hear what you guys think; Aluminum radiator-$600 Stock radiator with high volume puller and two high volume pushers-free Stock radiator with another stock radiator right behind it with puller and two pushers, a high output water pump-free Stock radiator with another stock radiator mounted to the hood with hood louvers and two pusher fans sucking air through the hood a la , a puller and two pushers on the main radiator-free The 600 dollar radiator is my fall back position...what do you guys think the best route would be? Dual radiator? Hood mounted? In line? |
Have you tried looking for old Nova/Camaro radiators they are around the demensions you have and you can get them in 3 and 4 rows plus they are plumbed the wat a 6.2 is and are a common race car part I would check Summit or Jegs

Thank you good sir. I found a three row aluminum one on eBay for two hundred bucks. I'm going to measure my total engine space when I get home. Very glad you posted that!

Np back in the day I was all about a Nova:rocking:

Turns out that is some great advice, thanks.
The rover radiator is 17.5x32.5 overall it appears. The nova 4 core aluminum says it is 19x27 The rover has several inches of fan shroud above the radiator so fitting a couple more inches of radiator up there to match it shouldn't be a problem. |
Less money as well:tu:
