Mayhem 08-07-2012 06:04 PM

It is a FSD brand heat sync I got the PMD and 6ft extension cable from Dieselcare.us the heat sync came with the truck when I bought it a year and a half ago

mine is running stronger and better. as in my post I added a manual waste gate controller and a boost gauge. It already had the pmd relocate done to it = moved to front grill area and gets plenty of cool air.

Mine is a 3/4 so has the slots in the grill has anyone used those and done some creative duct/plumbing work for " ram air " ?

Mayhem 08-14-2012 06:40 PM

I like the idea of a ram air type induction but sometimes my job has me go thru creeks and puddles so this is what is keeping me from doing anything to low but I am in the hunt for a K47 breater box off a later model 6.5

Ghost0038 08-14-2012 06:50 PM

I think Im going to try it. I think I will add a clean out in the first bend. maybe 2 or 3 bends and 1 y connecting to my k-n air filter then feeding into the turbo. I dont think there is a way would travel up that far but it has been known to get into places it shouldnt be. Tossing around the idea of a couple of dry vent things connecting to 4 in pvc..

Ideas?

Mayhem 08-14-2012 07:05 PM

4 inch aluminum dryer vent would do the same and i would think look b etter and last longer than pvc which is know to get brittle with heat

Ghost0038 08-14-2012 07:09 PM

good point. but was worried about the ridges in the dryer vent

Mayhem 08-14-2012 07:13 PM

I would'nt think the ridges would make that much of a difference
