Wire Or Fuse..A Little Help Please.

When we took off the canopy, and rewired the pilot sign we lost a tail light on the drivers side. checked the fuses ..purple 30's both were melted but not burnt, and we changed them anyhow, with 15 amps. bulbs were fine.? still never worked.
have brake lights on both sides, and hazard lights, but on the same side of the hazard lights are blinking together and the passenger side they blink seperatly. any ideas?

Problems started when we had it all together,
the brake lights stayed on , so we had to re do it again..

yellow brown green and white......wires.

I'm gonna get some schematics together in the next couple of minutes, Jenn. I'll post them and we can go from there.

I wonder if your truck is considered a domestic built or an export though...

I'm going to guess domestic

dmaxjenn 11-14-2007 09:10 AM

ok johnny thanks.....

Johnny Cetane 11-14-2007 09:18 AM

Here we go:

The first set of diagrams are all domestic and from about the 7 on down are export but you can see that in the title.

nope.
will do.

Johnny Cetane 11-14-2007 09:23 AM

Yeah. Check the LR Park Fuse in the underhood block. It'll be red.

dmaxjenn 11-14-2007 09:28 AM

I dont see the fuse , can you show me where to look, nothing under the dash and nothing under the hood???? wtf.. blonde by nature, brunette hair right now, i really thought i could get away with it.........

Johnny Cetane 11-14-2007 09:30 AM

It's under the hood on the driver's side. It'll be a black plastic cover. Pull it off, flip it over and it'll show you the fuse locations.

dmaxjenn 11-14-2007 09:35 AM

OH i found it, DUH theres alot of 10 amps in there though..

Johnny Cetane 11-14-2007 09:37 AM

Yeah there's a lot. The underside of the cover will have a fuse diagram. You are looking for one that says "LR Park" :U:

Upper left of fuse block. It's between the Park relay and a blue 15 amp.

dmaxjenn 11-14-2007 09:41 AM

yupe thats the one. can i take a different one to test the light? do you have to get those at gm ? little ones.

Johnny Cetane 11-14-2007 09:44 AM

You can get them at ANY auto parts store. I don't believe that there are any spares in the under hood block. But, I do believe that there are spares in the dash fuse block. (left side on the side of dash assembly. There's a cover there you need to pop off.

dmaxjenn 11-14-2007 09:51 AM

woohoo.. you did it . thanks for holding my hand through that....hugs Johnny......Ill find a new one somewhere today......x0x

Johnny Cetane 11-14-2007 09:57 AM

Just glad we could help you. That's what we're here for.

Be sure to buy an assortment when you go. Get a box that has 10's, 15's, 20's and 25's. About 2 of each should cover you.

dmaxjenn 11-14-2007 09:58 AM

ok...... now the I have to do the brakes on the sub...... ready for a challenge?

Johnny Cetane 11-14-2007 10:00 AM

Brakes are a piece of cake.
