DIY- EGR Blocker Plate And Finger Stick
This modification bypasses important pollution control devices and should be used for race applications only. Use at your own risk.
Here is how I installed an EGR blocker plate and a finger stick. Doing this blocks the EGR passage to the intake thus preventing soot filled exhaust gasses being fed back into your engine. The following photos show where you'll be installing the blocker plate.

I recommend soldering all connections. Use a lower wattage soldering iron (under 100 watts) with quality rosin core solder for best results. First thing you'll do is find the yellow wire going to the MAF sensor. Cut this wire in half near the large wire raceway on top of the intake. This is the only wire that you will cut. Next, using your wire strippers, open up a space in the Pink and Grey wires going to the MAF and also the Blue/White wire going to the lower terminal position of the EGR valve connector. (LBZ will be Brown/White). The connection are as follows:
Make all connections close to the wiring raceway. Tape or heat shrink connections and hide fingerstick inside of raceway like shown below. Remember the PCM uses voltage and resistance feedback to monitor this with tight parameters. GOOD CONNECTIONS HERE ARE A MUST. http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s...chstuff005.jpg This should be completely invisible to anyone looking under the hood or using a scan tool. |
Looks good.

Just get the EGR delete kit from PPE and EFI Live and be done with it. :pca1:
