Default 83 Chevy C10.....

Hey, anyone here know if a 15x12" wheel will fit under a stock suspensioned fleet side body C10 truck?

Getting big into drag racing and would like some bigger tires for the back end but need to know max. size i can go without rubbing on anything

No it wont. You will have to trim and mod the bed panels and wells.

Never done it myself, but I imagine you could run into problems. It would work with the right backspacing and no suspension travel depending on the tire size. I would assume it won't though. Had you considered stuffing a bigger tire on a 10" wheel?

you can do it with the right back spacing and tire size......but i would recommend a 10 inch wheel with a 295/50/15 tire on the rear.......that is ALOT of tire......

The only way to make that under a C10 with back spacing is with a narrowed rear end.

depending on how the truck is sprung, they might stick out a little but they will fit under it.......if the truck is lowered they wont fit, they will hit the fenderwells.........

this truck has probably 8 inch wheels on it, why wouldnt 12's fit??? seems they have plenty of room between the fenderwells and the tire.....the width of the wheel is fine, the heigh of the tire is what will matter......

well, i currently have 275/60 15s on it and im looking into the Weld Pro Star wheels, i was originally looking into 15x10 but they dont make them in a 5x5 bolt pattern......they only make 5x5 in 12" 14" and 15" wide wheels. it has 15x8s on it now but im planning on running a 325/50R15 for the track with a nice big tire so i can get some sort of half a$$ed traction out of it..... Theres a link and pic to the actual tire im going after!

With the right backspacing it shouldn't be a problem for the rear, I used to run a 12.5 wide tire in the rear on my lowerd chev only rub a little on the inner

well yeah and see, i dont plan on really lowering it much, if any

however, is the 12" wide wheel too much and will the 13.5" tire be too wide
