My Grandaughter Got A Speedin' Ticket 120 MPH
holy battshit I couldnt believe it .....120 mph and she was on her way home from church
:sos::ouch::sos: |
she's real lucky that she didn't get arrested...I know here that if you get anything in the triple digits they take you downtown.
|
Wow 120, what was she driving? Does she admit to going 120? Were there any other cars close to her, I have seen radars take two cars speeds and add them together.
|
How fast was she going to get there?

That is going to be one expensive ticket. What was her excuse? |
Yep, anything over 99 is automatic go to jail and $5K fine.
|
she is 16 and its a olds cuttless
speed limit on that road is 65 mph she has no excuses for this I think ol gramps needs to de-tune her car :wacko: |
In texas if I remember correctly. The law is as follows.
Double the speed limit 30MPH over the speed limit 100MPH or faster all CAN be considered reckless driving and are Jailable offences. However I believe a certain amount of it is up to the ticketing officer's discretion. I've seen numerous tickets in excess of 100mph where the guys didn't go to jail, just received the fine for the amount over the speedlimit they exceeded. Nothing eventful. On the other hand I've also seen guys hauled off. So. Consider her lucky. |
Wow. Must of been some church service since I'm assuming she was on her way home to tell you all about it. And at age 16, those insurance rates are gonna sky rocket. Here in VA that's automatic straight to jail, no questions or exceptions. She's very lucky.
