Actually its just the opposite. Its critical that baby gets as much colostrum from the mother as possible because it radically develops the immune system. God knew what He was doing, HOWEVER, some women that are still breast feeding at two years old are just nuts and arent helping the child. Under development usually comes from feeding infants powered synthetic milk instead of mother natural milk. Teeth problems come from using the wrong pacifiers and not having them turned the right way or something else that baby has been sucking on.

Exactly, and thats why it bugs the hell outta me when I see two year old still breast feeding. Thats just nuts and that kid needs to be eating real food. We had both our girls on baby food by the time they were 6 months and had them eating real food by 1 year. Both my girls are off the charts on their check ups. But, I might add that my oldest girl is going to be 6ft by the time she is 18 and my youngest is going to be over 6ft. My kids arent normal. :)

To start her going off, take one feeding, and make a new special time to replace the nursing time, with a sipper cup using a cover even tho she doesn't need it, so you can snuggle her up in your arms, let her sip some milk in her sippy cup (maybe buy one "special" just for new snuggle time) cover up with the nursing blanket if you use one, and read a special story, sing songs, watch a favorite short show, etc. whatever your new special thing will be to replace that feeding.

Then replace another feeding time in a week or so, but not so two feedings in a row are being substitued, but alternate so one feeding is nursing, the next is new snuggle time, next nursing, etc., and keep replacing nursing time with your new snuggle time until nursing is eliminated, most people save the before bed feeding as the last to be eliminated.

With the existing nursing/feeding times, try to cut them short without her noticing, reduce the extra cuddle talk, occupy your conversation with your other little one(s), so the feedings are less bonding, and REPLACE the bonding from the feeding times with lots of cuddling and extra TLC's throughout the day, for example if she's just toddling past, grab her up and snuggle her and hug her and tell her how much you love her, then put her back on her little feet to toddle off to whereever she was going... ... this makes me miss my babies...
... and enjoy every minute of their early years!!! cuz that's more important than what day on the calendar you ween your little one.

Thanks Sunsetsky,, thats great advise. I will definatly try to get her to stop that way, everytime i sit she thinks its time to drink so it makes it a little hard on me sometimes. draining. She even tells me to sit down,, by patting the computer chair or the lazy boy....At night i let her drink for about three to five mins and put her down, she crys a bit but not long, and goes to sleep.. she loves the cuddles so we sleep together so thats going to be my next big obsticale, how to get her in her own bed. she is my last, so I cherish every sec i have with her. i have t go a change her now.........yuck thank godness she wasnt sitting on me..lol
