87 that sounds sweet so a motor do you have the motor just blown up? cuz I found a company on ebay called enginebuilder I believe I ordered a whole master rebuild with 20 over pistons 10 over bearings and a custom cam for under $400 thats the way I would go personally. if not that avoid kragens/schucks/checkers motors they are nothing but problems atorco I think it is sells Japanese pull outs for a decent price. good luck and let me know how it goes.
heres a master set for $288

Well, its just tired...I was thinking about doing a Chevy swap but a stocker or slightly warmed over Toyota engine is probably the cheapest and most sensible thing to do. Would like to get rid of the IFS as well.

BTW, it spent much of its life in California.

Needs an engine and a clutch but was a thousand bucks.

toy4xchris 01-29-2008 12:37 AM

CumminsCrazed 01-30-2008 12:45 PM

Hey doc, that yota would look good with a tuned up 4BT and a hood stack......

OR, you could do a 350 SBC swap with a tuned up 350 and have yourself a lil rocket.....

Thats what I was initially thinking but the Cummins would be a bit of work and may be beyond my limited expertise. Will have to see though. Would need a solid axle swap as well, since the 4bt is around 700 pounds.
