You fellas would had been droolin out in the parking lot. It was like Truck heaven out there. Even the guy who parked next to me folded my mirror in so he could park. it was a tight squeeze. I was understanding.... I loved seeing all the trucks. It took me 10 min to find my truck I kept clicking my key to see the lights and it just took me for ever to find it. |
I saw George back in the early 80's as a kid, before he was who he is today. Saw him at the county fair.
Me and the Misses saw Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, & Jason Micheal Carrol back in Oct.! It was an AWESOME concert! |
its always better to see them before they got big, my dad watched Johnny Paycheck sing almost every night of the week in my grandfathers bar in Hillsboro Ohio.........

All those fellas Waylon Jennings is my fav. I still know that song by Johnny Outlwas Prayer, and Colorado Koolaid. Great songs I sing that song for people who have never herd of it. |
Johnny is from my home town of Greenfield Ohio, he grew up singing in the bars in the next town over (namely my grandfathers), Hillsboro, he didnt make much but did make it, oh i also only lived about 2 miles from the guy he shot in the head, he's our local taxadermist.......

He is the guy who got Waylon Jennings started before he meet Willie and Johnny Cash. |
George is King! I saw him in Vegas about 1 yr (I think) after Pure Country came out. On the same stage as the last scene in the movie. It was at the Mirage.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- You have some beautiful friends on your Myspace page! I just thought I'd throw that in...lol. |

Man I wanted to go so bad, but I had other obligations. George is one of my favorite country singers by far!
Lilrebelgal what part of Ga are you from? I'm originally from Macon, but I'm in Athens for college. |

ohhhhh, my mom would KILL for George Strait tickets.... hehehehe, or was that Alan Jackson??? hrmmm
|
Thanks for the pics!! I'll be seeing him on Thursday night here in Sac, but my seats are not near as close as yours were (then again I am not a FC member and we have a pretty decent sized group going together).
|
I am seeing him in Vegas on the 2nd! I can't wait!
|
y'all have a great time it went by so fast!!!!
he always ends the concert with "this is where the cowboy rides away" after he comes back out i loved it when he sung Jonny Cash's song...:c::c: |
Saw him at his first ever apperance at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He was a no body, Eddie Rabbit canceled due to an illness, the year was 1984 (I think) and this who?? showed up to sing. My mom was sooooooo pissed. She was a huge Eddie fan and this a-hole plays in his spot. :bat: Good show from what I remember of it, I was only 8.
If it wasn't for Eddie Rabbit's illness, I don't think George would be who he is today. Everytime I hear that song "If it wasn't for Texas", I think to myself....."if it wasn't for Eddie". Love all his music, even though it took my mom several years to get over that little mishap. |
I know I am going to get flamed for this. My wife and her family thinks George is the best thing since sliced bread. His music is good. No doubt. I have gone to see him at Rodeo twice in the last few years with them. Honestly, they were some of the worst concerts/shows I have ever been to. He came out and sat on a barstool and sang. It didn't even seem like he was that into it. My in laws joked that he doesn't want to be there because he doesn't need the money. It really seemed to show through. For someone with such a rep he should actually act like he wants to be there and put a show on for the fans who paid big $$$ to see him. Alan Jackson on the other hand has put on some of the best country concerts I have been to and I would go see him again any day. He was sick as a dog one year and the rodeo had Pat Green come in to take his place. Alan Jackson refused to cancel and said he would play at least a few songs after Pat Green finished. Well, Pat Greenput on a full show (at least for Rodeo). Then Alan Jackson came out and in obvious pain began to play some great songs and tell everyone how much he apprecaited them staying for him to give them waht they came for. He proceeded to perform for almost 2 hrs even though it was killing him. That shows what kind of artist he really is.
Ok Flame me. I don't care. |
Will do....:ph:
I saw him a couple of years ago (or was it last year?? anyways), at the HLS&R put on a great show. It's hard to play every song that good, he has a long list. He even pointed out George Bush Sr. and Barbera in the front row. To me, he just tried to maximize as many songs in a short amout of time.:U: Saw Pat Green a couple of times.....one hell of a performer. Love his music. One time he wore a swade sweeter and it was 70ish outside 80ish in the dome. He was sweating his ass off, thought he might faint from heat exhaustion. |

That might be why has was dressed all wrong. He wasn't sober enough to know what to wear lol |

Ok Flame me. I don't care. To love George is to know him and his ways... he is in his 50's and he is all about being a class act and he really doesn't get like the others. I wish he would.... but i know it's not his style but ya know us ladies still drool over him... After the concert here in GA he got bad sick and lost his voice and had to cancel a few shows. He is doing them later on in the spring at the end of his tour. He lost his daughter by a drunk driver and he has never been rowdy on stage since. You will have a better show by going to see Kenny or Garth they have a ball on stage. Sorry it wasn't that good for ya. ---AutoMerged DoublePost---
