I don't recommend attempting this mod yourself at 65 on the freeway.

 

How bad it mess up your rotor?

 

The rotor has an interesting flat spot on it now. But I don't give a crap about the rotor.

I would like to figure out a way to retrieve my wheel and brand new tire that's now leaning on the k-rail on the far left of the freeway a couple thousand feet north from where I ended up.

Always retorque aluminum wheels after 100 miles.
