tryin to do 6bt into 04 f150
 

i have a 04 f150 crew cab. the 5.4 is going out. its missfiring on me like crazy. so i wanna do a 6bt swap, but cant figure out how to beef up the suspension the withstand the weight on the 6bt over the 5.4, can u guys help me out... thanx

it would be quite a bit of work. well alot of work, do a solid axle swap.

yeah. thougt bout that. but can i possible use the springs off a 05 f350 or something instead of the stock 150 springs?

correct me if i'm wrong. you have coils with the independant front suspension. so you might be able to. measure them out, it will give you a pretty good idea. but it depends if the frame can handle it. you would need to upgrade rear diff, fron't diff, tranny, t case, drive lines. IMHO i don't think it's worth it.

i think i should just stick to the 4bt.
