i think i would try and beat that one in court

bluedieselram 08-28-2011 09:08 PM

im taking it to court

Budgreen 08-29-2011 03:56 PM

that's a valid ticket in Ohio.. "excessive display of power" revving up, doing burnouts, basically broad enough to cover anything remotely aggressive, they really covered their bases on that one. 6 points out of your maximum 12, right up there with drag racing and doing 200mph on the freeways :tu:

We got the same thing here in Texas...

bluedieselram 08-29-2011 07:19 PM

technicaly in ga it would be an obnoixus behavior im still gonna take to court

turbo20psi 08-29-2011 08:05 PM

I would tell the judge you were cleaning out the carburetor because you have been having problems with the truck...:lol88::ok1:

bluedieselram 08-29-2011 08:21 PM

lol how do i explain the black smoke then?im going to tell him the truth i was doing under speed limit so i couldnt have been reckless

oudive 08-29-2011 08:53 PM

ticket

Hey,

I would lay on a story about how all of a sudden you thought you had a case of dead pedal as it would not get up to the speed limit. So then you threw it in neutral and rev'ed it a couple times to make sure it was good to go. After that you got home and did a reset on the apps..... I would go that route.

I would pay a lawyer a lot of money and say whatever he told me to say, which would probably be nothing.

chromehound 08-29-2011 11:42 PM

How much is the ticket? We have the same broad based "excessive display" thing here too and not trying to be a dick or nothing but you did break the law......

bluedieselram 08-30-2011 01:56 AM

lol chromehound if claxton ga has nothing left to do besides pull me over fot that and tickets is $265

monster12valve 09-04-2011 09:14 PM

truck stalled.....u were cranking and giving it gas...it started....u reved it a few times to get it going....how could they not drop that

bluedieselram 09-04-2011 09:26 PM

hey saw me pull in parking lot whhile was driving,il let yall know how court goes,my court date is on 13th at 5pm

gunman41mag 09-04-2011 09:55 PM

Once again people are thinking that traffic infractions operate on terms of plausible deniability, evidence and conviction.

Appealing to logic, "justice", right and wrong are irrelevant. It's a money making extortion scheme and the only way to "win" is to ensure that it's not going to make them money; ie. hire a lawyer that's going to take up enough court time that it wouldn't be worth it, so they'll drop it.

riddick01 09-05-2011 11:50 AM

it all comes down to what judge you get. if you get a judge and say "i was goin 15 under coasting up to the light and i 'accidentally' tapped the pedal" he my say i dont care pay the ticket...or he might be cool and let u off...theres no telling...

yakdaddy42 09-05-2011 02:40 PM

that would bite hopefully the same cop writes the same ticket to all the ricers and and loud thumping music jerks too.

bluedieselram 09-05-2011 05:00 PM

i was in a parking lot in neutral

Budgreen 09-05-2011 07:28 PM

they can't ticket you for that on private property.. aka a parking lot. the owner of the lot would have to press charges. :tu:

Logic works until you get a ticket.

Once you got a ticket, the "facts" of your case are irrelevant! It doesn't matter if you were in your living room painting your toenails and the cop burst through the front door and writes you a ticket for going 10 miles over the speed limit. Once you have a ticket, you have the ticket.

The only thing that matters once you have a ticket is if you can tie up the courts long enough for them to lose money; the only way to reliably do that, is to hire a lawyer.

Budgreen 09-05-2011 09:18 PM

yup.. local mayors court here gave the option for a headlight ticket.

1. plead guilty and pay the fine
2. plead not guilty and take it to trial
3. plead no contest, and i'll find you guilty and you pay the fine.

now #3 is quite illegal since if you plead no contest you get to explain your circumstances and the judge makes a judgement call after hearing it.

If i had free time I would go and film the proceedings for a week or so then send it off for review and see how long he lasts.

it's grounds to fight the ticket, bring a witness or a signed statement saying it happened on private property despite what the ticket may say.and for god's sake dress nice?

Kraemer 09-13-2011 07:40 AM

private property does not matter if they can see you from the road, you can get a DUI for sitting in your truck in your driveway drinking a beer if you can be seen from the road.

Good luck, let us know, I think your case it today?

bluedieselram 09-14-2011 07:50 PM

well went to court for ticket wound up paying $260 charge was reduced to obnoxius behaviour and i still got my lisence cop told judge that i gunned it so thats why it got consideered reckless driving

panzer 09-16-2011 12:47 AM
