just to point out some errors in the story...thats a section of 190 and the speed limit is 50 for about 5 miles before that...

another thing to point out is the fact that he drove past a middle school

and the last little part of the vid says crowded streets...um...its huntsville theres no such thing as crowded up here...

oh and ive lived up here for a yr...that was about 2 weeks before i moved up

You won't lose brakes, just the power part. Steering, yeah till you unlock the wheel again. Its no big deal for most people to go without power steering and power brakes. Some of us had/have cars that came from the factory without them.

You don't loose your breaks and steering. You loose power assist, but they will still work. Steering if you turn teh key all the way to the lock part.

Also the "could not get it ni N" bull, no lock keeping it in drive, unless the shift linkage broke at the same time his CC decided to break....

If your retarded enough that you cant figure out how to get it into neutral or turn the key off in a situation like that ( it took some time, because the cop had time to get infront of him and stop him, it wasnt a split second deal...), then you should probably have your drivers licence taken away indefinetly...

I had a driveshaft coupling slide apart on this one day, going down a hill, the only brake is in the transmission, when the wheels are not connected to the transmission anymore, there are no brakes, and i figured out how to get it stopped ( with no brakes mind you) before it rolled away down the hill at mach 7, its not that hard to stop something if you have a little bit of common sense.
