This should help you greatly -

Montana Shipping

Have the stuff shipped to Sweetgrass, drive across, pick up our goods, pay your duty/tax and come home.

brown guy 05-06-2011 03:14 PM

I meet some guys at SEMA last year that wanted to open up a diesel performance shop up there, they had the market and gave it a shot I started making them quotes for product and then by the time they shipped almost 6 times what we pay state to state here they found out real quick that they could not afford it because that $180.00 exhaust was costing them $385.00 to there door then they have to mark it up and so on, for that price the guy could buy it him self so now they only do installs and are doing great!

if its small stuff send it USPS thats the way to go i have heard if its big send it fedex with MADE IN USA all over the box

If you can send the little stuff usps and it help save on taxes and duties and what not. You can also ship to canda using purolater shipping which seems to be quite resonable. At least I think it is because it calculates the taxes and duties at the same time as the shipping

brown guy 05-14-2011 12:25 AM

thanks alot man live and learn

Dr. Evil 05-14-2011 01:22 AM

Vulcan Performance will ship USPS - at least they used to

Farmboy 2.0 05-14-2011 11:43 AM

There is a certain dimension and wieght limit for shipping usps. I have sent cat and dpf delete pipes usps to canada before. There is a 70pound weight limit as well as dimension restrictions

brown guy 05-14-2011 12:15 PM

yeah they offered to send it ups but as soon as ups sends it across the border sometimes thier good the next time border crossing charge is more than the parts so I got scared off and they are getting a bad rap for loosing stuff up here it is now costing a guy I know the first couple races because they lost his turbos for the last couple months and still can't find them and giving him the run around for the insurance

Dr. Evil 05-14-2011 03:39 PM

I think you are getting confused between UPS and USPS...

UPS = United Parcel Service

USPS = United States Postal Service

There is a big difference between the two. USPS doesnt ding you for customs brokerage like UPS does - but you still may have to pay GST and possibly a little duty depending on the total cost

FYI, there are also suppliers inside Canada.

Re: border cross shipping

Ya we try to ship USPS to Canada when we can.

Depends on what you are looking for....

We have a large exhaust company that we can ship exhaust systems and tuners from in Canada. We can also ship from BD Diesel which is also in Canada.
